RETRO 2015: Proofs That Jesus Is God

I am resurrecting the third episode of the defunct Truth Hub Podcast. I recorded this one in June of 2015.I explored how the Old Testament says that no one can see God while also saying that people did see God. These apparent contradictions are resolved in the revelation of Jesus Christ as the One Who is the image of the invisible God and is the One Who exegetes the Father. I then demonstrated that Isaiah actually saw Jesus Christ in his glorious temple vision.By the way, get my new FREE eBookJesus:God Among Us.*****Like what you hear? RETRO 2015: Why Christ Is Worshiped

I am resurrecting the second episode of the defunct Truth Hub Podcast. I recorded it in May of 2015.I presented powerful arguments from the Bible for why Jesus is God because He is worshiped. Those who try to make Jesus only a creature have to explain this without painting themselves into a corner.By the way, get my new FREE eBookJesus:God Among Us.*****Like what you hear? God In My Place

We close out our study of God by looking at substitutionary atonement. We put the pieces together via the following points:The gospel harmonizes all attributes of God.The gospel is intrinsically trinitarian. The gospel requires the incarnation. The gospel is based on substitution.Fair warning: you will see some more emotion pour out of me than has been expressed so far.*****Like what you hear? How Incarnation and Suffering Brings Redemption

Continuing with Hebrews chapter 2, and springboarding from the last discussion about angels and humans, we examine closely the humanity of the Son and how He lowered Himself. Many who call themselves “Christians” claim that Jesus was only human. We look deeply at the arguments from Hebrews chapter 2 to see that the emphasis on humanity only shows us why Jesus has to be more than only a human. We see words and phrases that clearly show that humanity was a voluntary means to accomplish the goal of redemption. He wasn’t created human by His Lord. He choose to take on humanity.Scriptures examined:Hebrews 2:5-18Other Scriptures referenced:Psalm 8:4-6Psalm 144:3Job 7:17-18Acts 2Hebrews 1:4-6John 10:18*****Like what you hear? Angels vs. Humans

This episode takes a look at how angels are different from humans (as if there were any doubt). But this episode truly continues the series on understanding God, Jesus, incarnation, and redemption. While reading Hebrews chapters 1 and 2 to focus on the incarnation of the Son, I noticed that the role of angels kept coming up. Then, the idea of this episode was born.We notice three main negative points about how angels compare to humans:Angels are not created “in the image of God.”Angels are not given dominion.Angels are not offered redemption.I hope this episode encourages you to see God’s love in redemption for you as your value and privilege exceeds even the glory of the angels.*****Like what you hear? Incarnation and Humility

The theology of Christmas is not over at Truthspresso! We continue to look at Jesus Christ as He is described in the Bible. We look at Philippians 2:3-7 to see how the mind of Christ to be humble helps us understand the incarnation. We take a deep dive into verses 6 and 7 and parse words and phrases with a fine-toothed comb.Letting humility guide us in understanding some Greek, we conclude that this beautiful passage of Scripture cannot be stronger in teaching that Jesus is the one person of the Son of God with two natures–divine and human.*****Like what you hear? Christmas and Incarnation

What is Christmas all about? Boughs of holly? Flashy colors? Cheer? Generous gift-giving?Not that these things are bad, but Christians know that we should be celebrating something much deeper and more meaningful: the birth of Jesus Christ. But even many Christians haven’t thought through the depth of who Jesus Christ is and why we celebrate His birth. What really is His birth about? Why did He have to be born, anyway? Just who and what is Jesus Christ?Get ready to look at Christmas through the eyes of a clear doctrine of the incarnation of the Son–and understand what it isn’t.In this episode we see how the doctrine of the Trinity is absolutely fundamental to a true doctrine of an incarnation of

The Trinity Demystified

Do you have difficulty understanding God as a “Trinity”? Even if you believe it, you might not fully understand it or know how to explain it.My hope is that this episode will rid you of the problem forever! The doctrine of the Trinity is the most vilified doctrine by atheists, people of other religions, and even by those who consider themselves Christians but are against the teaching.Scripture Passages Cited (in order of mention):John 4:24Isaiah 40:18Isaiah 40:25Deuteronomy 6:4Isaiah 43:10Isaiah 44:6John 14:16-17Matthew 28:192 Corinthians 13:14Ephesians 4:4-61 Corinthians 12:3-6John 17:3-5Micah 5:2Hebrews 9:14*****Like what you hear?
