Welcome to Truthspresso Express! This is where I record an episode on my commute to or from work.In this episode of Truthspresso Express I discuss two articles claiming hospital pandemonium that turned out to be fabricated:A children’s hospital “hits capacity” from our favorite virus.A hospital can’t admit gunshot victims because it’s loaded with patients suffering from too much “horse dewormer.”Bad News sells–both money and fear. Are these false reports just harmless tricks or honest mistakes? What are the effects of claiming these kinds of false narratives?Sources Consulted:Katie Moore, “Children’s Mercy in Kansas City hits capacity as COVID cases continue rising in metro,” Kansas City Star, July 27, 2021.“Kentucky Hospital Says The Media Is LYING About Hospitals Being ‘Overwhelmed’ With Kids
What is the “Milk” and “Meat” of the Word?
My wife Chelsea and I address our first listener question:What does the Bible mean by the “milk” and “meat” of the Word?Three key passages mention “milk” and two of them compare it to “meat”:1 Peter 2:2-31 Corinthians 3:2Hebrews 5:12-14The listener heard these passages explained as Sunday School stories for “milk” and understanding different Greek words as “meat.”After reading these passages in their full context we think they’re really talking about maturity of conduct and avoiding unnecessary divisions. Christians who can eat “strong meat” are those who can determine right from wrong and solve problems of conflict in light of the basic principles of God’s Word.We also bring a little politics into our understanding of these passages. Mature Christians shouldn’t fall
Does Acts 22:16 Teach That Water Baptism Washes Away Sins?
Welcome to Truthspresso Express! This is where I record an episode on my commute to or from work.In this episode of Truthspresso Express I discuss my understanding of what Acts 22:16 means when it says “Arise and be baptized and wash away your sins.” The Greek verbs may tell a different story than we think.

Boosters, Pineapples, and Heartbeats
My wife Chelsea and I cover a hodgepodge of three recent news events:Boosters: Two officials leave the FDA because of undue pressure from the Biden administration to rubber stamp “booster” shots of the Pfizer vaccine for children under 12 by September 20.Pineapples: Despite the President’s tragic withdrawal strategy from Afghanistan, a volunteer military veteran task force carried out “Operation Pineapple Express” to rescue over 630 Afghans targeted by the Taliban.Heartbeats: The Texas “heartbeat” law went into effect September 1, and abortion activists are treating it as political Armageddon.Chelsea and I observe the common thread of “courage” in these three situations for those who stand up for truth against enemies of life.Sources Consulted:Phil Shiver, “Top vaccine officials leave FDA amid infighting,

The Abortion Pill Pandemic and Chalking it Up to Planned Parenthood
My wife Chelsea and I finish our two-part series on the abortion pill regimen (mifepristone and misoprostol). We trace the history of the abortion pill from when it was first approved by the FDA to the current push to distribute it to the masses by mail. The abortion industry claims the abortion pill is “safer than Tylenol.” Of course we know it’s not “safe” for the baby that’s murdered, but we show from the statistics that it’s not safe for women either. As the rate of deaths increased over the second decade, we expect deaths to skyrocket from mail-in abortions. We finish the episode by talking about our recent experience doing sidewalk messages at a Planned Parenthood.Sources Consulted:Kelly Cleland, “The FDA Should Remove
Death by Mail: Answering the Current Politics Behind the Abortion Pill

Casting Pearls Before Swine (part 3)
My wife Chelsea joins me to continue our series talking about marriage. This episode concludes a multi-part series within the series to evaluate the book Created To Be His Help Meet by Debi Pearl.Chelsea and I agree that any good points in this book are drowned out by what we consider dangerous and unbiblical ideas of marriage. Although there is a proper understanding of wives submitting to husbands, we believe this book takes the idea to an unhealthy extreme. The book denigrates women by defining their role as lifelong slaves to men.The book denigrates men by relegating them to base impulses and domineering. In part 3 of our review, we examine Debi’s idea of the wife’s responsibility with the Biblical understanding that a
