This episode is part 21 in a series going through the story of the Book of Mormon. This episode covers chapters 1-5 of the book of Alma. Under the new “reign of the judges” the Nephites in Zarahemla find prosperity, but also growing problems of heresies. First, a prosperity preacher named Nehor kills a guy and faces death. Then, a guy named Amlici gets a huge following and creates the Amlicites. The Amlicites join forces with the Lamanites and fight the Nephites several times. Although the Nephites are victories, they have to lick their wounds. The church grows stronger but some lose their humility. The Book of Mormon: Part 20 (Mosiah chapters 25-29)
This episode is part 20 in a series going through the story of the Book of Mormon. This episode covers chapters 25-29 of the book of Mosiah, finishing the book. The people of Zarahemla and some of the people of Nephi are united. Alma baptizes King Limhi and others. The land prospers, but the new generation of young adults lead people astray. Alma gets God’s encouragement to judge the sinners and seek their repentance. Eventually, another rebellion happens to persecute the church. King Mosiah makes that illegal.
